Our goal in this film was to create a kinetic piece that led the viewer through a metaphorical representation of heritage - the passing down of a tradition from one generation to another. In this case that "tradition" was being an incredible chess player. Eventually the young player learns enough to sit at the table with the older player - signifying that his heritage was about to be passed down.
